What is List N?
According to the EPA website, a List N disinfectant is approved if the disinfectant:
- Demonstrates efficacy against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19;
- Demonstrates efficacy against a pathogen that is harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19; or
- Demonstrates efficacy against a different human coronavirus similar to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

How do I find products on List N?
EPA’s List N contains 500+ disinfectants that are effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The products on List N are listed by the name of the manufacturer of the active ingredient within the disinfectants. One way to look up products on List N is with the product’s primary registration number. For Neutron products, this number is located in the product description on the website, but also on the product label.
As can be seen in the graphic, the registration for Neutron Power Tabs is #71847-6. Which can be found in the product description. This is extremely helpful for customers and businesses ensuring their products are on List N. Neutron Industries provides the registration for ease of locating its products on EPA List N.
When searching EPA List N, this product will appear with the active ingredient sodium dichloroisocyanurate with the product name Klorsept. The EPA addresses this in their FAQ stating, “Disinfectant products may be marketed and sold under different brand and product names. To determine whether EPA expects a given product to kill SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, you need to determine whether its primary registration number is on this list.” In this case for Power Tabs, it is on the list.
